Candidate Thoughts

Karel Boele

Karel Boele (House of Reps or Senate Candidate for NSW)
Through SOL I will work to:
  • Introduce inclusive politics, especially at local government level.
  • Research and run community land trust trials as a way to make housing more affordable.
  • Develop sustainable, environmentally friendly life alternatives to tackle climate change (and reduce the potential of a large future refugee crisis).
  • Introduce community currencies at a local level to strengthen and stabilise the economy.
  • Promote localising and efficiencies in government and public service.
I want people to be able to follow their own personal development and religious beliefs.

Adrian Doesburg

Adrian Doesburg (House of Reps or Senate Candidate for WA)
We face another Federal election. If we in W.A. vote for the Coalition, all it will show is that we distrust them a little less than Labor. Either way, Canberra remains determined to return to WA less than half of the GST we generate. Canberra needs constant reminders that WA matters.

NBN: if we have to have it, where’s ours? Education: why does Canberra have 4000 Education bureaucrats that govern not a single school? With 11% of the population, why is WA offered 2% of the Gonski funds?

And…

Division of power between the States and Canberra – Care for the disabled – Climate change – Decisions on whether Australia should go to war – Food security – Health – Immigration – Asylum seekers – Internet censorship – Preschool provision – Republic – Tax havens – The baby bonus – Food security – Money for Holden/less money for universities – Yours…?
